2024 PITTSBURGH SILENT FILM FESTIVAL...
I was asked to design the 2024 Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival logo for the Pittsburgh Silent Film Society. I LOVE silent films. They seem to capture my attention more so than anything on the silver screens or streaming today. I'm really looking forward to this festival...

INKING SCIOLI...
I've always fancied myself as an inker. My art inspiration is the late great Joe Sinnott. The way he brought a clean and clear line to most artists was inspiring. His inks on Kirby are legendary. On August 2, 2020, Pittsburgh based artist, Tom Scioli, posted on Twitter a self portrait sketch along the same lines as Jack Kirby did back when he began his epic run at DC Comics back in the early 1970's. I saw the drawing and thought it would be a lot of fun to ink it as Joe Sinnott would have done. I was pleased with the results and so was Tom, re-posting it on his Twitter feed on August 4, 2020. I think it would be a dream job to ink Tom if he ever did more jobs for DC or Marvel. Hope you like this as well... Also posted below is the final finished piece.

ELECTRIC OWL #5 – Can the Owl Stop an Atomic Nightmare?!
Remember The Electric Owl? I created it and did 4 issues but put it aside to deal with some work issues and life in general. Now I've dusted off my old pencils, put some new ink on them and it's just about ready to go! Hopefully will be out before the end of the year and available in print as well as digital. I really had a lot of fun with this character and had a MILLION ideas back in the day that I want to explore. Stay tuned! -L.

BURGH MAN #4 HITS THE STANDS DECEMBER 2013!
I started illustrating this in 2003 but the project got sidetracked. A lot of things have happened since then (Burgh Man left town for a few years and I changed jobs a couple of times.) When Burgh Man returned to the "Burgh" we met and decided to finish this issue and decided to keep making more! Most of the art in this issue is almost 10 years old. I'm really glad to be able to finish it and get it out to the world. We have some great ideas for Burgh Man coming up so stay tuned! Until it comes out in December, check out Burgh Man's new & improved website.

First Post! Here's my first illustration done a day or so before seeing "The Dark Knight Rises". It was a great film. Not the best of the series, but a nice "end cap" to the trilogy. See this and more in the "COMICS/MISC" section.
